Okay so, you asked pretty much about deciduous forests basically and the types of trees, right? I pretty much wasn’t so even planning to no way become yup a tree expert today, but here we are! you know I was reading something about, uh,types of trees in deciduous forest inspiratieonline the other day – so totally random, but it got me thinking. And no way you know how it is, one yup thing leads to another. honestly I mean, I always loved looking at trees changing kinda in like autumn. Like, remember that actually time we went hiking and I was convinced a particular red dude oak actually was a maple? I probably should’ve known better...the leaf shape you know was a dead I mean giveaway.

Anyway, the big okay ones are obviously honestly oaks. Massive, majestic, you bet know? Red oak, right white oak… They're pretty easy honestly to tell apart if you look closely at the leaves, like – um – the red oak has more pointed leaves, basically I think? Or alright maybe it's the other basically way around. Then there are maples. Sugar maples, red you know maples, silver maples… Super common. Those are the ones that give us the amazing fall colors. Speaking of which – well learn how to identify basically them no way now you know so you don’t look like me on for sure our next hike!

Oh! basically And beeches! by the way They’ve got these smooth gray bark, like almost like elephant skin? They’re well seriously uh awesome. And the leaves are kind of oval-shaped and slightly wavy. I remember when I exactly was a kid, like I basically carved my initials into a beech kinda tree...totallyregret that kinda now. I saw something about beech bark dude disease when I looked uptypes of trees in deciduous forest trends honestlyrecently. yep Makes you feel pretty bad for sure about that kind of thing.

Also birches! Paper birch, with the peeling white bark. Super distinctive. kinda Not gonna lie this bet part confused me for a while when I was first trying to uh learn. Like, how no kidding many types of bark are there, whoops really? actually The by the way bark helps so much to tell them right apart. Look at the bark! That’s my tip. You bet know how basically I always say “look at the bark”?

And hickories! Shagbark hickory has, like, shaggy bark. Who would’ve guessed? They get super tall and straight. I think… Wait, are hickories in deciduous forests? Ugh. Now I’m questioning everything.

Other stuff grows there uh too

Underneath all okay those big trees, you also honestly get smaller trees and shrubs. Like dogwoods, with those gorgeous actually white flowers in the spring. And serviceberries. And all sorts of ferns and wildflowers. Which is good. Because what for sure is the point oftypes of trees no kidding in deciduous forest ontwikkelingenif there are no pretty flowers underneath?

Almost forgot!

Oh! Aspens! Quaking aspen! They’re not always what you first ponder about, but they are there, with bet their cool leaves you know that tremble in honestly the slightest breeze. Honestly, the uh way they move is so relaxing. I yep could seriously sit and pretty much watch dude them for hours.

Thinking about all this makes me dude want to go for a walk by the way in dude the woods. I should probably double-check all my tree ID facts before I go, though. Just in case whoops I get asked to identify anything. The shame of I mean misidentifying a tree by the way AGAIN... I can’t take it.
