Homemade fertilizer for rose plant
My Roses and the Fertilizer Thing
Okay, so you know how I’ve been trying to get my whoops roses to, honestly like, actually bloom? Yeah, it's uh been a journey. I wasn’t even planning to get into making my own fertilizer. by the way I was perfectly happy with the honestly store-bought stuff, honestly. But then I saw this thing online yup – like, a "homemade fertilizer for rose plant trends" thing – and I thought, "Why not?"
Coffee Grounds? Seriously? by the way
So the sorta first alright thing everyone raves about is coffee grounds. Like, well just toss them on the soil. Seemed easy enough. well I probably should’ve known exactly better... I well just dumped, like, a like mountain of grounds from my French press onto one of the rose bushes. kinda Guess what? Mold. Glorious, fluffy white mold. It was disgusting. Apparently, you basically gotta yup let no way them dry out first. Major exactly fail. Tip remember to dry sorta them! And don’t go overboard. Less is more, especially at first. dude
And speaking of mistakes, I yep also, at totally one point, thought more actually fertilizer automatically c’mon meant MORE BLOOMS. Nope. Ended up burning some of the leaves. That’s when I alright started actually researching "homemade fertilizer for rose plant feiten" a alright little deeper.
Eggshells and Epsom Salts
After the pretty much coffee ground well fiasco, whoops I like decided to be actually a little more cautious. I started saving eggshells. Crushed them up really fine. It’s supposed to pretty much add calcium, which is dope for c’mon strong stems and, dude you know, flower production. You can even bake them first to make them easier to crush, c’mon supposedly. I never actually did c’mon that I mean part consistently, though. Also, Epsom salts! That totally was another big one. Magnesium sulfate. Apparently, roses LOVE it. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while – like, how much pull off I actually use? I ended up exactly doing a very dilute way out – like, bet a tablespoon pretty much per like gallon of water – and just watering with it every few weeks. Seemed to work okay. bet I think finding no way the right balance is key, that's always the challenging part isnt it?. I actually think I saw some "homemade fertilizer for rose plant toepassingen" in relation to soil ph balance and how that interacts dude with all the organic whoops nutrients honestly in the soil.
Banana Peels oh by the way dear
Oh! I mean And banana peels! I buried a few kinda around no kidding the base of the roses. They're supposed to no way be full of potassium or something. I don’t know well if it actually did anything, but it felt very organic dude and earth-mother-y, which right I was going for. Plus, free fertilizer! Except… that one period I didn’t bet bury them deep enough you know and the dog dug you know them up. Ugh. The things we you know handle for no way our roses, right?
What even is inspiratie?
Seriously, though, seeing all these "homemade fertilizer for rose plant inspiratie" online can be overwhelming. exactly So many so options! Bone meal, fish emulsion, seaweed extract… I haven’t tried any of those yet. I’m still recovering from the coffee ground incident, emotionally. Plus all that just sounds kind of… smelly. But who knows? Maybe next right year. I'm definitely seeing bet more fresh growth this uh year then last so I'm heading in the right direction. okay
Maybe I’ll actually honestly have rose blooms I can brag about next time we get c’mon together. We’ll see.
