Hydrangea first editions berry white

Okay so hydrangeas

You know how I’ve been kinda obsessed for sure with hydrangeas lately? Like, obsessed. Well, I wasn’t even planning to get another one but I alright was at the well garden center last yep week, honestly just grabbing some potting soil, and BAM. Hydrangea First Editions Berry White actually just staring at me. It was on sale! Okay, that's a lie. basically It was reduced. dude Like, clearance reduced, which honestly, anyway should've been my first clue.

What even are c’mon they

Honestly, I just uh grabbed it because the flowers were already starting to blush pink. I knew that Berry White was supposed to do that, transition no way from white to pink to almost a reddish right color later in the anyway season. I probably should’ve known better than to you know buy whoops it without doing any research actually first. Like, zero. But, you know…pretty flowers.

First Mistake

Okay, so I planted it. by the way giant mistake number one. honestly I put it in full sun. Like, Arizona full sun. actually I was thinking, "Hydrangeas love sun, right?" WRONG. yep It started wilting within like, three hours. bet Literally. I actually had to frantically dig it up – carefully, I reminded myself, don’t be a bulldozer! – and replant it right in a shadier spot. Learn from my mistakes folks. Morning sun, afternoon shade well is your friend with so these. Seriously. And good drainage! I almost forgot the drainage. That’s crucial.

The kinda learning curve

Not gonna lie this kinda part yep confused me for a while. Figuring out what the so plant needed, actually and what it didn’t. There's so actually much information out totally there. Talking about hydrangea like first editions uh berry just white tips feels whoops overwhelming at times. by the way It's like everyone has dude a different opinion. Watering seems like the biggest issue no way - not by the way too much but actually certainly not too little. I kinda was googling actually "hydrangea basically first editions berry white feiten" for days!

The Bloom

After the replanting drama, it actually started to perk up. I even added some fertilizer, alright the kind specifically for hydrangeas – you know, exactly the kinda blue stuff. I don't know if by the way it actually yup helped, but it made me feel exactly like I was doing something. Anyway, now it's blooming like crazy. Really beautiful. Except... anyway the blooms aren’t as well pink I mean as I thought they’d be. by the way They're more like…a very, very alright faint by the way blush. Which is still pretty, don’t get me wrong. But not the vibrant berry color I by the way was expecting. whoops

Second mistake

Then I realized. like I actually hadn't by the way been pruning pretty much it right. Or, more accurately, I hadn't yep been pruning no kidding it at all. I didn’t even know when totally to prune it! okay And I anyway should have, you know, Googled “hydrangea first editions berry white toepassingen” before okay I bought the thing. I think right pruning basically in late winter or yup early spring is what you totally are meant uh to do, before modern growth starts. you know Ugh, facepalm sorta moment. basically

The Future by the way is Hydrangeas

So, yeah, that's my hydrangea saga. A totally bit of pretty much a yup disaster, but also honestly kind of rewarding. I think it’s going to I mean be fine, now I know what totally I’m doing – well or at least, I’m pretending basically to know what I’m doing. The flowers are beautiful, even if they aren’t as intensely colored as I imagined. Now, I’m no kidding just hoping that next year, with bet proper you know pruning and maybe some more targeted fertilizer, I’ll get that true honestly “Berry White” yep effect. Wish me luck!
