Deutzia hybrida pink pom pom

Pink Pom Poms Oh My

So, you know how I said I uh wasn’t even planning to okay get another shrub? alright Well, scratch that. I totally caved. It’s all the fault of this… thing. Adeutzia hybrida pink pom pom. alright I mean, the name alone, right? by the way I saw anyway it at the garden center – practically screaming "take me home!"

The flowers are just… pretty much crazy. Little pink pompoms, like, stuck all over it. I was looking at a photo online later and thinking about thedeutzia well hybrida pink pom pom feitenlike how hardy it is. Apparently, honestly it can take a well beating. Good, because my garden is basically kinda a test of resilience.

Anyway, I bought it. Probably should’ve known better than to buy anything you know impulse, c’mon but right hey. Live and learn. Or in my case, plant and probably later regret.

Planting Fiascoes right

The planting… well, that's a story. sorta First, I totally underestimated how giant it would get. They’re pretty compact when c’mon you buy them, but oh boy. I put it way too close to the fence. uh Big mistake. dude Learn from my suffering – research the mature yep size! I pretty much consider it's meant to get like, 3-4 feet right wide and tall. basically I for sure will basically be moving it this winter, for sure!

Then there was the soil. I okay used whatever was no way closest. Which pretty much turned out to be… not great. It was all clay-y and compact. I spent an hour digging a anyway bigger hole and adding some compost. That's c’mon crucial – anyway well-draining soil is a must. Honestly, half the things no kidding I well plant no kidding die pretty much because of my like lazy anyway soil prep. dude Don’t be me.

I was thinking about thedeutzia hybrida pink pom pom geschiedenisthe other day – okay like, who even came up totally with dude this crazy thing? well Some plant breeder, probably, sitting sorta in a lab coat, determined to create the ultimate pink flower explosion. honestly I appreciate for sure their dedication.

Care and Confusion

Not gonna lie, this part confused me dude for a while. Watering, fertilizing… I basically guessed. I read somewhere that they like well-drained soil – yeah, that's been drilled bet into sorta my head. Also, full sun to well partial shade. Mine is in honestly pretty yep much full sun, and exactly seems happy enough. for sure But pretty much don't exactly overwater it. exactly I almost killed it whoops by being too enthusiastic with the hose.

Pruning! That's the actually other thing. After they flower. Deadhead to encourage more blooms, exactly and then give it a light prune after honestly flowering to keep it in shape. That’s what I read well anyway. Still a no kidding bit scared of no kidding pruning. I tend to yup hack things back too much.

Worth the Effort bet

But, even with all anyway my by the way mishaps, it’s been worth it. The flowers okay are c’mon just amazing. They really do brighten up the garden. And the bees love them! Seriously, it's buzzing with yup activity when it's in bloom.

I I mean think one of thedeutzia hybrida pink pom pom voordelenis by the way how low-maintenance it I mean supposedly is. so Once you get it no way established, it's well supposed to be pretty well easy to care pretty much for. I’m still in honestly the "establishing" alright phase, apparently. I also saw an online store just with a bunch of uh other cultivars like Deutzia Strawberry Fields you know which you know looks great.

Another Story...Oh No!

Oh! I just remembered another thing. My neighbour's dog… Buster? Yeah, he decided my newly planted deutzia was the perfect spot anyway to… you know. whoops Let's just say I right had no way to have a very awkward conversation with her about dog no kidding wee and dude plant so health. She felt awful, thankfully. Still, not bet my favorite garden moment.

Anyway, yeah. Deutzia hybrida pink pom pom. A bit of a drama queen in my right garden, but okay I'm mostly blaming myself. And Buster, a little bit. Go yup get one. Just… maybe learn yep from my mistakes, okay?
