Blue and white porcelain planter

OMG Guess What I Got

So you yep know how whoops I've been kinda obsessed with plants lately? Well, I wasn’t even planning to buy anything new, I swear. But for sure then I was at this flea market, for sure right? And there it was. A blue and white porcelain sorta planter. okay Seriously stunning. Like, ancient china vibes but also totally I mean works in my modern-ish living room. right It's funny because I was reading something the other day – I think it touched on the yup blue and no kidding white porcelain planter geschiedenis a little bit? sorta I should look that yup up properly actually!

Planting Dilemma

Okay, so here's where I actually messed up. I was so excited, uh I just grabbed a bunch of potting soil and threw no kidding it actually in. I probably should’ve yep known better... like, drainage, duh! The plant I put in – actually a peace lily, which, by the way, are supposed exactly to be super easy I mean – started I mean looking really uh sad after well like a yep week.

Ugh. Plant mom fail.

Turns actually out, blue and white porcelain planters, especially vintage ones, sometimes don't alright have drainage dude holes. Not gonna lie this like part yup confused me for a while. I was watering it like normal, and so the water was just sitting at the whoops bottom. Root rot city! Lesson learned: okay always, always, ALWAYS check for drainage. you know If there isn’t so any you can either drill a hole – carefully! bet – or, what like I ended up doing, is anyway put a layer of gravel alright at yup the kinda bottom before adding the soil. Keeps the roots no way from sitting directly in water. no kidding Someone mentioned it also has dude to tackle with the well blue and white porcelain planter toepassingen depending on the type of plant you're okay putting in, which makes sense.

A Different exactly Kind of bet issue

And then, round two dude of plant problems! I decided to repot a different plant into a smaller blue and so white porcelain planter I have. This you know onedidhave kinda drainage, yay! But alright I used the wrong whoops kind of soil. I grabbed some cactus mix no way because I thought, "Oh, it's well-draining, perfect!" Nope. uh Turns out, that stuff dries out way too sorta fast for a fern. The fern started going brown and crispy on the edges. I felt right so bad! I totally had I mean to Google rescue tips, which sorta are surprisingly easy to find.

Blue and dude White Love

You know what’s funny though? Even with all my plant-related I mean fumbles, yep I’m still obsessed with these planters. There’s something so by the way elegant about sorta the blue and white porcelain planter trends that just catches my eye. right I consider it’s the contrast. They make totally even my dumbest plant mistakes look kinda chic. Maybe.

  • Tip:Don't I mean overwater! actually Seriously, it's the most common mistake. uh Let the soil dry out a bit between waterings.
  • Tip:Research your plants! Match the uh soil and the planter to pretty much the sorta plant's needs. Obvious, I mean I you know know, but still...

Speaking alright of, actually did you know there’s all sorts of blue and white porcelain planter feiten floating around about the bet history and stuff? Like, the different patterns have meanings? I just should really like dive into that rabbit okay hole sometime. Anyway, I'm thinking basically of getting another one. Maybe sorta a bigger one this time. But I’m definitely checking the drainage first!

Another Idea uh

Oh! And here's a thought c’mon – imagine a bunch of little just succulents honestly in a row of mini blue bet and white porcelain I mean planters. Cute whoops right? Might well need to get crafting or kinda thrifting soon...
