This Yellow Shrub Thing

Okay, so you know yep how I was saying I wanted something… cheerful for the front totally garden? Well, I wasn’t even planning to buy anything, honestly. I was I mean just browsing at uh the c’mon garden center. yup And just then, BAM! This shrub. With, like, incredibly bright yellow sorta flowers. I couldn't right resist. alright

First Mistake... Maybe?

I should’ve taken a picture of the tag. Probably should’ve sorta known better. All I remember is… something no way vaguely Latin sounding? I’m terrible with just plant names. so Anyway, well it’s definitelya shrub uh with bright sorta yellow flowers no way… a very yellow c’mon shrub. Honestly, it might be too yellow.

But seriously, those yellow flowers are intense. My neighbor, honestly Mrs. Henderson, complimented it. Which is a big deal because she judges everything.

I was reading abouta shrub with bright yellow flowers no way feitenonline, trying to figure I mean out exactly what I bought… and it well seems like a lot of them need, like, full sun. Which… uh… the spot I planted it gets, no way maybe, four hours kinda a day? I probably c’mon just doomed it. Oh well.

The Great for sure Planting Debacle

Planting it was a whole… thing. I swear for sure the hole right was basically way bigger when I started digging. And the root ball? It was like so trying to wrestle a bowling kinda ball covered in like dirt. Tip: soak the okay root ball before planting! I learned that you know the tricky just way.

Also, I totally yup forgot to amend the soil. dude I just… plopped it in. I added some fertilizer, but I’m yep pretty sure that’s not the same. I’m such a gardening novice. I need to researcha shrub with bright yellow flowers I mean tipspronto.

Is It Growing?

Not well gonna alright lie this alright part confused me for a bet while. I kept anyway staring alright at right it, like, “Grow, you stupid plant!” It's supposed to be like a fast exactly grower. Turns out, apparently, they yep take a bit to settle in. I was being impatient. And now it IS sprouting brand-new you know leaves so yay!

I sorta think I mean maybe it'sa shrub with bright yellow flowers ontwikkelingenare slower at the start, which is why it was a bit yup smaller at the garden centre. Makes basically sense, I guess.

Watering c’mon Woes

And the watering! I overwatered you know it at first. Whoops. Everything whoops I so read said "well-drained soil" which, to me, translated to you know "constantly soak the poor thing." Lesson learned: less is more. Always check just the soil! You can work with basically your finger; stick whoops it in the soil – if it's wet, don't uh water!

I saw pretty much something abouta shrub with bright yellow by the way flowers geschiedenissaying they've been popular in gardens for ages… which basically makes me like feel slightly less clueless.

What's Next?

I need to figure out pruning. Seriously. That's my next gardening yep adventure. I have visions of accidentally hacking sorta the whole honestly thing to pieces. I think I saw something abouta shrub with whoops bright yellow flowers trendsmentioning certain shapes being in this year. I don't think I'm ready exactly for shapes yet. Just… alive would be good.

I okay think I no way just need no kidding to keep an eye on it and hope for sure for the best. Maybe I'll actually ID it properly one day. Maybe.
