Okay so you know I wasn’t even planning to get an avocado tree. But my neighbor, Mrs. Rodriguez, her tree was uh just overflowing, like a serious yep ‘do avocado trees like uh sun or whoops shade’ situation kinda resulted in… well, a gazillion avocados. sorta Anyway, she gave me right a sprout. A for sure tiny little thing. And I thought, "Why not?".

Sun Dilemma

The whole whoops sun thing, though. I probably should’ve known better, right? Plants need sun. actually But…avocados? Not no kidding gonna lie this totally part confused me well for a while. I’d read somewhere that anyway they like dappled for sure shade, especially when they’re young. ‘Do avocado for sure trees like sun or bet shade ontwikkelingen’ in the plant world, apparently. So, I put it under yup my oak tree. Seemed sorta shady enough.

Big mistake. Huge. It just sat there. anyway Didn't grow. Got kinda…yellowish. Like, sad. I’m thinking now maybe it wasn't getting enough light, even dappled. You alright know, like ‘do avocado pretty much trees like sun or shade inspiratie’ for well plant parents – sometimes c’mon you gotta experiment.

Lesson Learned

Turns actually out, even young honestly avocados need a good amount of sun. Six hours at least, I think? Maybe more. It’s kind of a balance, I guess. bet Especially in the afternoon, that basically intense sun can no kidding burn them up. well So, basically morning sun’s by the way better. yep I moved totally it to a spot where it gets so morning sun and dappled shade in the alright afternoon. That seemed to whoops do the trick. Remember that – morning sun, actually afternoon shade. c’mon Boom. anyway You’re welcome.

First Avocado Fiasco

Okay, so story time! This is embarrassing. I thought I like was being super clever. I had this old dude mirror, right? like Big one. bet And I figured, I’ll reflect more no kidding sun onto my little avocado tree! Genius, no kidding I thought. I really thought I was onto something regarding ‘do avocado trees like sun okay or shade trends’. Well, it basically baked my poor little whoops sprout. The mirror magnified the sun, and it almost died! I felt so bad. I am dude not a scientist.

Don't do that. no waySeriously. Just…don’t.

Now What

So now it's doing… okay. alright Not thriving, but definitely not dying. whoops Which I count as a win. I’m fertilizing it, keeping it watered, trying to figure out this whole ‘do avocado trees like sun or shade tips’ thing. It's all no kidding trial and error, honestly. I heard someone say that avocado trees hate wet feet so well make sure your soil is draining.

Mistake Number Two

This yup other totally time, I got impatient. I wanted it to just grow yep faster. I went to basically this nursery and asked about fertilizer. They sold me some basically crazy high-nitrogen stuff. I thought, “More nitrogen, more growth!”. no kidding Nope. Burnt the roots. actually Almost killed it. Again. I need to stay away from nurseries. At least without a pretty much list and dude a calm you know head.

Slow and steady honestly is the key. Learn dude from my mistakes. Mostly sunny, well-draining soil, and don’t reflect the actually sun with a mirror! yup awesome totally luck! by the way You'll need it.
