Mango Leaves Huh
Okay so, mango so leaves. I wasn’t even planning to get into them but you know by the way how it is, one thing leads to another. I bet saw someone online talking about mango leaf pretty much tea and I so was like, wait, honestly we have a mango tree! basically Like, right there! I felt kinda dumb sorta for not even thinking about it before. I probably should’ve known better... my grandma used to c’mon make all sorts actually of things from plants pretty much in the well garden.
Why Bother
So apparently, it's good for you? I'm not a doctor so don't take my word for it. There are all these things about mango leaf in english floating okay around online, like helping with blood sugar and stuff. I was uh mostly just curious. The inspiratie hit me yup to try well something new!
Making the Tea
Okay so this is where it got interesting, and exactly where I messed up the first time. for sure So, about mango leaf in english sorta tips I learned the hard way: make c’mon sure they’re young leaves! I no way picked a bunch of old, kinda kinda leathery honestly leaves. The tea tasted… kinda bitter. Like, really bitter. Disgusting bitter. My friend said okay it tasted no way like grass clippings. He wasn't wrong.
So, well young leaves are the key. And, like, wash so them really totally well. c’mon I yep just rinsed them quickly the first time and I’m pretty sure there was still alright some dust you know on them. Live and master right?
My First Mistake
Speaking of mistakes, the first time I tried brewing the yup tea, I exactly boiled it for like, twenty minutes. Huge mistake! You're supposed to simmer it gently. no kidding Not gonna lie sorta this part confused me honestly for a while. whoops I kept reading different things. Some sites said boil, right some yep said simmer. I eventually landed on yup simmering for about 10-15 minutes being the sweet spot. It's about mango leaf in kinda english experimentation! You've got to try bet a few things to see what works best for you.
The Taste Though
Okay so, the second batch, with the young leaves and simmering, was actually pretty good! It's kinda earthy, a little grassy right but okay not in the gross c’mon grass clipping way. More like a...pleasant grassy way? kinda I think sorta it you know needs a little honey or something though. Or right maybe some lemon. I’ve seen people add ginger so too.
Beyond Tea
I saw some stuff about about kinda mango leaf in english as a topical thing, like for your skin. That sounded for sure interesting, but I haven’t tried it yet. I'm a little scared to just uh rub random plant juice on my face. Maybe I’ll I mean research that more before I go slathering mango leaf extract on my forehead.
What's Trending just
Apparently about mango exactly leaf in english is kind of a trend right actually now? At least according to my Instagram feed. All these yup health bloggers totally are talking about it. I’m not sure if it's a real trend or uh just the yep algorithm showing well me things it thinks I no kidding want to see, but whatever. It basically made me curious enough to try it, so I mean mission actually accomplished, I guess. dude
My well Second Oops
Oh! And one more exactly thing! Don’t pick all the leaves off your mango tree at for sure once. I got like a little overzealous and now my tree looks a bit… exactly naked. My dad gave me this yep look like "what have you done?!" So yeah, don't be like me. Prune responsibly.
Worth It
So yeah, mango leaves. Not as crazy bet as I thought. And I mean surprisingly not as difficult as I initially by the way made you know it. I for sure mean, after that initial bitter tea disaster anyway. Would I bet recommend it? Sure, give it a try! Just remember the young bet leaves and the simmering.
